Heelllppp! I am in Hell!

Please HELP!!
We have Dust Mites in our house.
Of course, we called the pest control company to come but they said it was too toxic for a pregnant woman.

We do not want to take any chances by using anything toxic. I tried the usual sprays you find in the supermarket, like Pif Paf. I have to admit, it is less but they are still alive and coming back now it has been a few weeks. Does anyone have any suggestions or home made receipes?? Please? I am so itchy and full of red marks from their bites.

Ooooooooooooookay. Here is what you do:

Change your entire bedding, unfortunately there is no way around it. You can give it away for a dry cleaning, but don't use it for at least a month and keep it sealed in plastic. Buy a couple of new sets.

Before you put the new sets on, cover your mattress and pillows in plastic. I know sounds barbaric, but it works.

Get rid (or again, send to dry cleaning) any rugs or carpets.

Wash your entire bedroom (except walls and ceiling) with strong detergent, use gloves and a mask.

If the problem is not limited to the bedroom, you have no choice but get rid of (or dry clean and seal for a month or two) all the rugs, cover all your armchairs, sofas and chairs if they have soft seats in sealed plastic (you can buy new throws to put on them), and wash the house with the detergent. Better yet - get a cleaning company to come and do it and make sure they get into every corner.

Be careful with Pif Paf, I don't know how it affects pregnant girls.

And also anti insect bites creams would help to avert a stray mite!

Hi cat!
I have cleaned everything using detol and Pif Paf spray. I have put everything in the laundry and cleaned the whole place, it is much better and they did disappear but only for a week , now they are back. I think they need something quite toxic, maybe I should wait until baby is born before I make any dramatic decisions. But thank you anyways, you have been a great help.
