Ahh...The Joy of Taxis

I am sure everyone living in this country would agree with me that there is an issue with taxis, whether it is the lack of them, their crazy way of driving or even them pretending not knowing the location in order not to get stuck in traffic.

But the worse one yet, which I believe is inexcusable is the lack of seat belts!!
Not only you wait a long time for a taxi in this scorching heat, you not only have to deal with his speed and lack of concentration but he tells you: " oh? no seat belts? It's alright, no problem", throwing that" you are so paranoid" look towards me.
No I am not paranoid and I totally refuse to get in a taxi especially with my baby with no seat belts. Come on guys, at least the basics!! Why take unnecessary risks? Life is risky enough as it is!

Happy Anniversary My Sweet Angel...

"Honey, it is all your fault!", I said.
Staff at the hospital warned Michael while I was in labour to just agree and not to argue. Ah...Old times...Just kidding!

So it has been 4 years already. And our love just keeps growing stronger by the day. I don't think of spending a minute away from my husband. It is too bad that he has to leave every morning to go to work. Would it not be nicer if he called in sick everyday and stayed home to spend time with the girls? Hmm...

What's on the menu, you ask? Well no fancy cocktail dinner, just changing diapers and curling up on the couch with a DVD and a great big hug from my sweet heart.

What have we been up to? Well between travelling, exploring other countries and waiting for our flat to finish (which is far from it!), we decided to be parents. Let me tell you, what an experience! I would recommend it to anyone. Of course, you have bad days and good days like everything else in this world, but the sleepless nights are about to end...Well I hope so. We all slept from 21:00 until 6:00 last night. I feel like a new human being.

Skye is teething but she is so quiet about it. She is learning how to scream and sing all by herself. She realised that she can control her voice so it sounds like a cat fight and it is hilarious. We are still following our routine which is going to the gym where mummy exercises and baby has her morning nap by the pool. She laughs out loud and is always in a good mood as long as she gets enough sleep. "Don't mess with my sleep" she says! She can also grab things and kick quite high, enough to lift her bum off the ground. It is quite hot to venture outdoors but it is alright by the time winter is here she will be able to enjoy a good day on the beach or at the park!

I found a mother and baby group and I cannot wait to meet them this Thursday. Will tell all about it next time.

'The Creative Gift of her British Granny...

Look at one of granny's gifts to Skye. Fascinating! It took her quite a few months to finish it. All the details are there; height, weight, time, etc...

Skye is 3 Months Old:

Skye is 3 months old. She started to babble and talk baby talk which is so adorable. She also smiles and laugh even more these days and she rarely cries thanks to her parents who figured things out and know what she wants at each moment. Yet, falling asleep is a struggle. She is such a lively baby that she does not want to miss a moment in this life so she fights so hard to stay awake. Luckily, we found a solution: Bedtimes stories.
She sleeps through the night and wakes up only once at around 4:00 a.m. It is alright, I got used to it, compared to every 2 hours when she was born.
She likes to watch Tom & Jerry for a couple of minutes during the day. She loves it when someone is talking to her…She talks back. She started to enjoy her colourful toys and she enjoys having her morning nap by the pool with mummy. With Daddy, it is playtime in the bath, they both splash each other and have lots of fun. Then Daddy and Mummy read a bedtime story together which is doing wonders. She is still young but at least she sees the book and hears our voices and it is family time for everyone.
